DESIGN

I really do love this device’s style. It’s made from all metal, and it’s also very thin. There is a camera bump on the back and there are also two plastic bars that help in getting the signals because it can’t penetrate metal.

There is headphone jack on top and a slot for micro SD card on the left side. We get to see volume buttons and power buttons on the right side of this device. On the bottom of the device we get to see a microphone and regular USB port as well.

DISPLAY

It has an 8-inch IPS-panel HD screen, and the screen resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels. This display has an aspect ratio of 16:10. In my opinion this resolution is good enough on this screen because it is an 8-inch display.

If you look closely however, you can see pixels on the display and I don’t expect it to be as sharp as the displays on our phones as this is a device in the budget category. This is therefore a good screen in a category of budget and it is also bright enough to use outdoors but not in direct sunlight.

Since we have an IPS screen, the viewing angles are wide too, color reproduction and contrast are also good. If you want to change the temperature of the light, you can do that too by going into the settings.

HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE

This device has got a 2 GHz MediaTek Helio A22 processor and 2 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage. There is also another option for 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of storage as well.

So, if we are concerned about this device’s performance then I’d say it’s good enough. I could stream YouTube videos and Netflix movies with no issues. With many open tabs I was able to browse the internet too. But when switching from one app to another, I found some lags. And multitasking is having a little lag but this isn’t the big deal.

It is interesting, when it comes to productivity work. There is a Productivity Mode which you can turn on by going into your display settings. After doing this you can see a task bar which looks similar to our desktop operating system. However this is not a full desktop mode but it definitely makes your work easier especially if you are using it with mouse and keyboard.

Gaming-wise it’s not doing so well. I’m tested games like PUBG, where I played at low graphics and then it wasn’t smooth either. This system works well for simple stuff in my opinion and that’s what makes me happy for a product I purchase at this price range.

CAMERA & BATTERY

The camera’s are not good on this device. The back camera is a 5 MP shooter and it also shoots Full HD video as well. The image quality is decent enough as long as we took photos in bright conditions but don’t expect a too much details on this device as the camera’s are not that great but we should not expect a lot from a budget category device.

The front camera is a 2 MP shooter and it is also not that great either. As long as you take photos in nice lightning conditions you should expect decent selfies but those selfies will not have that much details just like the back camera of this device.

Overall, these camera could be use to take some quick snapshots and it is also useful to scan some documents and video calling over skype as well. And just don’t expect high quality images from this device.

Talking about the battery life, in my test, the results were quiet interesting. I played a video on loop at minimum brightness and I find that the battery lasted for more than 23 hours which is really nice for a device at this price range. So I also did another test by watching a HD Youtube video at maximum brightness and find that the device last for 8 hours and honestly I didn’t expect this as well. So, overall the battery life is great

CONCLUSION

Should I buy this tablet, if i need to? the answer is YES because when I look at the price, I think that’s it’s a pretty good tablet. I would definitely like to buy this tablet if I want to watch videos a lot on Netflix or YouTube, for surfing internet. Even though the speakers, camera are not that great but the battery life is really great and that’s something surprised me.
