Huawei MediaPad M6
When holding the tablet, I noticed there is a physical button that acts as the home button and fingerprint sensor. On the bottom of the device, you will see a Type-C port, sim card, and micro SD card slot as well.
Other than this, there is a power button, volume button, and 3.5 mm jack on the left side as well. Then there is a magnetic connector with two stereo speakers on the left side of the tablet. There are two more speakers on the right side with four microphones.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite
The design of this device is very similar to the MediaPad M6 and MediaPad M5 as well. This tablet has also got a Full metal body and feels premium. However, this device is not very thin and it’s also a little bulky as well. It has also got a fingerprint scanner which also acts as a Home button.
The design of the MediaPad M5 Lite is very similar to the design of the MediaPad M6. Almost all the things are similar to the MediaPad M6 except the fact that it doesn’t have a magnetic connector to connect it to the keyboard.

Huawei MediaPad M6
The MediaPad M6 has got a 10.8-inch Full IPS display screen and it is a 2K screen. This device has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and I did watch one or two movies and I love the colors, contrast, and overall video quality. Even watching videos on Youtube is a good experience as well and I was able to watch videos in 2160p which makes the video quality very crisp.
Overall, the display is really good as it’s a 2K display, and also the brightness is good enough and it is a laminated display that increases the user experience for sketching or drawing.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite
The MediaPad M5 Lite has got a 10.1-inch Full HD display. The aspect ratio of this screen is 16:10 and the resolution of 1920 x 1200p. This is not a very sharp display but apps and text does seem a little sharp if the device is held normally. According to me, a 10-inch screen looks good for FULL HD resolution. The Youtube videos also looks quite nice as well.
This is an IPS display with wide viewing angles. The colors are saturated, contrast is good but the brightness is not good enough to use the device in direct sunlight. However, this is a nice display overall.

Huawei MediaPad M6
Now, as I mention before that there are four stereo speakers by Harmon Kardon. The audio produced through these speakers is very punchy and the sound is also very clear as well. Overall, this tablet is a great entertainment device.
The performance of the device is good if you want it for personal use. So, let’s say you do a lot of browsing, watch videos, does a little bit of reading, loves to do multi-tasking, and love scrolling through social media than the performance of this device is perfect for you.
This is a great device for parents as it has got kids mode known as Kids corner. This app gives you control over what your kids are watching You can also restrict the types of games he plays. Most importantly, there is an eye protection feature that notifies you if the kids are too close to the screen.
The simple games like subway surfer or temple run works without any lags or stutters. Some high-end games like PUBG works perfectly fine even in HD mode as I didn’t notice any stutters or lags. However, I would recommend you to use it at medium graphics so that you can enjoy the games without worrying about the performance of the game.
Overall, the performance of this device is good enough for gamers, everyday users, and even if you are a parent.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite
The MediaPad M5 Lite has also got four stereo speakers like the MediaPad M6. These speakers are also great and the bass is nice considering that it is a tablet. Listening to movies and music on this device is really fun and you will love it as well.
The performance of the device is good enough for those who wants it for personal use. You can do all types of things a normal person does like browsing the web, watching youtube videos, reading, scrolling through social media and things like that.
The simple works nicely and I didn’t notice any lags or stutters at all. For some high-end games like PUBG, I will recommend setting the graphics to medium or low to get the best performance experience.
Just like the MediaPad M6 there is also kids mode here as well and all the features are also the same. Overall, this is a great device for parents, everyday users and for gamers who can play at low settings.

Huawei MediaPad M6
The front and back camera takes nice photos considering that it’s a tablet. However, these cameras are not good enough to take photos at night. Instead, I would recommend using your mobile phone to take photos as the result is much better on it.
The battery life is decent and according to my test, it should last for 6 to 7 hours at the least. However, the battery life depends on the usage from person to person and it also depends on the environment around.
It might not even last for 6 hours if the performance mode is turn on. Overall if the usage of the device is average then the battery life could last for days just with a single charge.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite
The front and the back camera has the resolution of 8 MP. These doesn’t even come near to the cameras of the MediaPad M6. However, these cameras are decent enough for video calling but not for taking photos.
If you are a normal user then you will love the battery life of this device as well because it can last up to 12 hours but if are a rough user then it might only last for 6 to 7 hours. Overall, the battery life of this device is nice as well.
Which Should You Buy?
Now, in my opinion, both of these devices are good and both of them are very hard to differentiate. However, there are some big differences in both of these devices like the MediaPad M6 has got 2K screen and good speakers as well. Then the other big difference between these two devices is the processor as the MediaPad M6 has a more advanced processor than the MediaPad M5 lite. The other difference between these two devices is of cameras, here also MediaPad M6 has got better cameras. These are some of the big differences between these two devices.
However, if I need to buy one of these devices I would definitely go with MediaPad M6 as it is an advanced version of the MediaPad M5 Lite. However, I would not recommend you to buy any device because I say so, in fact, you should buy the one which fulfills your needs and taking care of your budget.
