DESIGN

Razer Blade 15:

There are a few other differences between the 2019 and the 2018 model. The 2019 is fractionally thicker, but it pretty much imperceptible. Build quality still remains really good, and you can get a black finish or a silvery white finish–that they call Mercury. I much prefer the silvery white look Partially because it doesn’t have that glowing green logo upfront but if you like the green snakes, you gotta go forthe black one.

Microsoft Surface Book 2:

The build quality of the surface book 2 meets expectations which is to say that like the rest of its family it is spectacular. The magnesium body has soft texture to it and no matter where you touch it, it feels solid and well crafted.

KEYBOARD & TOUCHPAD

Razer Blade 15:

The keyboard has also had a little bit of a tweak. Previously, the Razor Chroma Lighting did not light up for the secondary function or function keys like volume control, brightness control, you couldn’t see that stuff in the dark. It’s a little bit annoying if you want to adjust any of those things in a completely dark room. But now those function keys are added.

The trackpad remains unchanged. The Shift button on the keyboard also remains unchanged. The right Shift key is in a weird spot relative to the arrow keys and question mark key. But that’s just a personal thing.

Microsoft Surface Book 2:

The keyboard is nice. It’s a noticeably better typing experience than the original Surface Book. It’s a little bit quieter, and it just feels more responsive than the original Surface Book keyboard, not that that one was bad It was already good. This is just a little bit better.

DISPLAY

Razer Blade 15:

Looking at this Samsung manufactured display is a treat. 600 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, HDR 400 certification, and calibration from the factory. The colors, are super satisfying. 600 nits with perfect blacks means an incredible contrast ratio that just makes all the text and icons jump out at you. Overall, Blade 15 is the most satisfying display that I have ever seen on a laptop.

Microsoft Surface Book 2:

The 13 and a half inch pixel sense display on the surface book is setting to look. It has a 3000×2000 resolution which results in a taller display and it’s perfect for browsing the web or creating documents. While the display looks beautiful in its own right, it’s not as nice as the Razer Blade 15 display. The surface book 2 also features multi-touch and is compatible with the surface pen and surface dial.

PERFORMANCE

Razer Blade 15:

2019 Blade has been updated with some new RTX hardware, with other nice features. Now, older generations of Razer Blades have often had issues with thermals. Because the company is very focused on making the devices really thin, and really nice looking And when you do that, it’s just makes it harder to cool this thing properly. So I was worried that this new RTX GPUs, will run a little bit hotter. But it actually doesn’t. It’s clearly not the coolest running laptop on the market, but it doesn’t throttle for what I would consider, like, average gaming. Performance on this GPU is great. It’s pushing an incredibly high frame rate, especially for a thin and light laptop.

Microsoft Surface Book 2:

Performance is good. It’s the quad core Kaby Lake-R It’s a 15 watt CPU, but it’s fast in short bursts. Multi-core performance is really strong now. But the question is whether this extra speed really makes a big difference for what you do And it really depends on your workflow The truth is for the majority of people that are using a device like this it won’t make their workflow Or just work experience that much faster You need specific apps that can handle multi-core processing. But at the end of the day, it is a 15 watt U processor So it’s not gonna be the fastest laptop in the world.

In terms of gaming performance, It’s actually pretty good. The GTX 1050 pushes out some decent performance You have to run it at a lower-than-native resolution But light-to-moderately demanding titles are very playable on this device.

The Blade 15’s big changes for 2019 come on the inside, and they’re mostly successful. The 240Hz screen offers incredible speed and good quality, and the refresh rate is great for esports. The RTX 2070 Max-Q has the pace to handle esports titles at this…

Everyone on earth seems to be absolutely in love with Razer’s Blade laptops, especially this one, the 2019 “Advanced” model, with an RTX 2070 Max-Q, but for the life of my I can’t figure out why.A perfect example here is the storage. This is a £2,200…

Expert Reviews For Surface Book 2:

By PCPer
If you are a user who needs a discrete GPU for work like 3D rendering or modeling applications, but still wants a relatively thin-and-light machine, the Surface Book 2 is a great option. It’s one of the best-built computers I have ever used while providing above average performance, and killer battery life.

By TopNewReview
Despite those shortcomings, Microsoft has again delivered one of the best 2-in-ls on the market for pro users — it’s a rarity to find a hybrid device that works equally well in both laptop and tablet modes, but the Surface Book 2 achieves it.

By CreativeBloq
If you’re happy using Windows and want a laptop-tablet convertible, you can do no better; the screen is astounding; the design is fantastic and it’s the best Windows tablet, too.

By Xataka
