DESIGN

Samsung Galaxy A30:

Slimness of the Samsung A30 along with its build quality makes it light and quite easy to hold. Even though it is made up of plastic build, it still gives a premium look. The mixture of glossy surface with a gradient works beautifully and the A30 feels more pleasant in hands.

The front side of the mobile is majorly a lively 6.4’ screen with Infinity U notch at the top of the selfie camera. USB Type-C is present in Galaxy A30 at the bottommost of the mobile. A single speaker is located next to the USB port, along with 3.5mm earphones jack on the left side.

Samsung Galaxy A80:

The outside of the samsung galaxy a80 is very glossy which gives gives it a very chic look. The backside of A80 is so glassy that it can even be used as a mirror. This stylish design along with the Samsung logo make the Samsung A80 look elegant and attractive.

Like many of the other Samsung mobiles, volume buttons are present on the left side of the phone and power button on the right side. In A80, the SIM and memory card slot have been shifted to the bottom of the mobile, right next to the USB port as there is no headphone jack in this mobile.

In terms of weight and grip, Samsung A80 is heavy and does not provide an easy grip to the users. Its heaviness may disappoint some user, especially if they are not used to hold such heavy mobiles.

Overall, the look of the mobile is of finest quality as display has gorilla glass display along with the frame which is made of metal.

DISPLAY

Samsung Galaxy A30:

Ratio of the mobile is of highest quality supported by Infinity-U notch at the top. It offers extremely high quality of pixels resolution and aspect ratio. The display looks clear and vibrant even at side angles. The brightness of the phone is good that it can be used outdoors very comfortably.

Standardization of the screen is done extremely well. Along with the ability to regulate the white balance and colour profiles of the mobile, there are adequate choices to change the display preferences.

Absence of notification light is a disappointment, but you can set the display to continuously on-mode to see notifications easily. To make the most of out of its large and beautiful display, Samsung A30 also High-definition video streaming, which means that you can easily watch and enjoy your favourites movies and shows on apps like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video.

Samsung Galaxy A80:

Super AMOLED Display along with HD abilities makes the A80 stand out from its competitive mobile phones as the display has amazing colors and extremely high contrast quality along with a large screen that provides the user an opportunity to fully enjoy their viewing experience.

Users can also change the color scheme of the display, and choose modes like dark mode, night mode, blue light, and many others. Option of vivid display is present which enhances the gaming and watching experience.

Despite having such a high-quality display, size of the screen may not be everyone’s cup of tea as sometimes it gets difficult to manage such a large screen of 6.7 inches.

CAMERA

Samsung Galaxy A30:

On reading, Samsung A30 camera specifications make a good impression. It features a dual-lens arrangement at the back, the primary sensor is 16 Mega-Pixel (f/1.7 aperture) and a 5 Mega-Pixel ultra-wide sensor (f/2.2 aperture). Front camera of 16 MP is not impressive much, and provides mediocre selfies, especially at night time.

Camera application is arranged suitably with a user-friendly interface, and it is easy to locate different options like filters, camera changing options, settings and different camera modes. Ultra-wide camera at the back lacks autofocus, but overall it was able to focus quickly without any lag. Similar to Samsung’s other mobiles, this phone increases exposure when capturing pictures or making videos with the primary camera; however, pictures seems a little overexposed while capturing outdoors. A30 has an enhancer to accentuate contrast and saturation to make the pictures more conspicuous and visually attractive. It has a wide collection of filters which can be used to enhance your pictures.

Now, talking about the actual picture quality of A30’s cameras, there is momentous noise reduction and minute details that are not much visible clearly. It performs well in taking close-up shots. The in-built scene optimizer helps give things like roses a minor saturation enhancement, to make your pictures stand out from the crowd.

Overall, it can be said about Samsung A30’s camera that it gives a powerful performance in daylight and proper in-door lighting, but it disappoints while capturing pictures or making videos at night time.

Samsung Galaxy A80:

Camera of Samsung A80 provides a massively satisfying experience as it has powerful cameras to capture pictures and videos. It has the revolutionary rotating camera.

Upon activation of the front camera, it slides up and has the ability of rotating 180 degrees. Thus, the user can use the same camera both as a selfie camera as well as back camera.

On the down-side, when the camera is rotated upwards for taking selfies, holes are exposed on both sides of the mobile which can make the mobile dirty as well as increases the changes of damaging the camera. Rotation of the camera is quick; however, it may get stuck sometimes due to mechanical or software error, which can cause problems and unnecessary delays. In order to protect the camera from damage, A80 has a built-in function that detects whenever the mobile is slipping down, the camera gets withdrawn quickly. Yet, this system is not perfect because if the height from which mobile falls down is not much, camera may not be able to get withdrawn quickly, and ultimately damaging the camera.

There are three cameras in Samsung Galaxy A80. The background is blurred using the depth camera which accentuates your pictures greatly and increases the focus on certain object. Quality of normal pictures is also amazing as A80 can take high-quality pictures using its 48MP camera. More impressively, A80’s pictures in low-light conditions are also great and show maximum details, unlike many of the other Samsung mobiles.

Moreover, ultra-wide camera can be used to capture landscapes beautifully. It also helps in taking pictures of a large group of people. Super steady feature of the camera increases stability, focus and quality of the videos recorded by A80.

SPEAKERS

Samsung Galaxy A30:

With a single speaker at the bottom of the phone, Galaxy A30 does not impress in terms of audio volume. Using headphones on the mobile provides an amazing experience as the volume quality does not decrease at all and there are very minimum and ignorable distortion

Samsung Galaxy A80:

Samsung A80 has a single speaker which provides a good and loud sound. For headphones, there is no separate jack as Type-C USB port is present on the mobile which can be used to attach headphones. Quality of the sound in speaker is amazing.

PERFORMANCE

Samsung Galaxy A30:

Comparing to the other mobile phones in this range and the specifications of Samsung Galaxy A30 on paper, performance of the mobile disappoints as there are lags in very high-end applications and games. Running on Android Pie, Samsung A30 provides a good experience for day-to-day usage, but heavy games should not expect much from this mobile as even popular game like Call of Duty (COD) lags a little bit which disturbs the overall gaming experience.

Yet, Galaxy A30 has an edge over other mobiles of this price range because it has a good and user-friendly experience due to Samsung’s One UI which provides a clean and resources-friendly interface to the users. Mobile can be used very easily by optimizing it for single-hand usage.

Samsung Galaxy A80:

Samsung A80 rightfully provides eight cores in this price range which makes the mobile extremely fast and delivers great performance. It works best for all kinds of applications and games. Gamers will be greatly satisfied by its performance as the phone supports heavy gaming like PUBG, COD, and others can be played without any glitch or lag.

SOFTWARE

Samsung Galaxy A30:

Samsung’s latest One UI is used by Samsung A30 which provides a simple, spotless, and user-friendly interface.

One-hand use is support to facilitate the users and there any many in-built themes and colors for icons, along with the widgets which can be dragged-and-dropped on the home screen of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A80:

Android Pie or the latest Samsung One UI is the default software of A80. One UI is beautified via different themes, and colours. And you get version 1.1 of it on the A80, with features like Bixby Routines and Digital Wellbeing. Like other mobiles, dark mode and blue light are present in the One UI.

BATTERY

Samsung Galaxy A30:

Samsung A30’s battery is extremely impressive as it contains a large 4,000 mAh battery, and yet the weight of the mobile itself is very light. On a single charge, a normal user can easily use this phone for a complete day; however, heavy gamers may need to charge it twice in a day, depending upon the number of hours it is being used, and the type of applications running on the mobile phone. Overall, battery life is remarkable.

Samsung Galaxy A80:

Battery of 3,700 mAh is present in Samsung A80 which is usually not able to run for a complete one day. But the normal users who do not play heavy games or use high end applications should not let this disappoint them much because super-fast charging is supported by A80 through which the phone can be charged fully in around 70-90 minutes.

WHICH IS BETTER OPTION?

In the mid-price range, Samsung A30 is a remarkable mobile phone; however, its chipset and performance lacks in terms of heavy gaming which makes it unsuitable for heavy games. Yet, features like large and clear display, stylish design of the mobile, latest software and a large battery makes Galaxy A30 an impressive mobile phone.

Samsung Galaxy A80 can be called the outstanding high-budget mobile which has many pros like huge display, suitable performance and usage for heavy-gamers, high-quality cameras, super-fast charging, but it disappoints due to the factors like slow rotating camera, comparatively small battery, and the absence of headphone jack.

As a result, I would recommend Samsung A30, especially to people who wants to buy mobile in mid-range, because with this mobile users can capture high-quality pictures, enjoy the large display, and can easily use the mobile for a whole day with a single charge.
