DESIGN

Logitech G Pro X:

I am telling about the latest Logitech G Pro X. It means all things are updated like design, build quality, and some features too.

Design-wise, it is awesome and decent. One thing I want ot mention is that the microphone is detachable, so this means if you are not using the microphone, you can simply detach it and keep it side.

There is also a logitech software and if you want to use that then you have to connect this headset with PC through USB. You can swap the ear cups between leatherette and foam.

Overall, the design is too decent that if you carry this in public area or any event, it will not look like a gaming headset.

HyperX Cloud Alpha:

I love the black and red, it’s the details that looked amazing. Red stitching up top but very subtle cool to the touch leather, down to the cold aluminum arms on the side and love that red there and down to the aluminum stealthy black metal earcups.

The headset unfortunately doesn’t fold in, the earcup don’t swivel, when I’m taking a break from gaming, leaving an on my neck it could be a little uncomfortable so I do just leave it on the table.

COMFORT

Logitech G Pro X:

Logitech has done very good job with comfort. Yes, I have to say that these headphones are very comfortable. I wear these headphones for long time while gaming and I didn’t feel uncomfortable. The earcups are swappable. This is the lightest gaming headset that I have tested till now.

HyperX Cloud Alpha:

Speaking of comfort, testing this over the weekend for several hours straight, playing both battlefield and overwatch, these are very easy to wear. Coming in at 336 grams with a cord and mic attached, they never felt heavy on my head. I never had wearing fatigue and never any issues along the jaw line due to its clamping force.

MIC PERFORMANCE

Logitech G Pro X:

The main selling point of these headphones is microphone because Logitech has collabed with “Blue Voice” which is the best microphone company till now. Blue microphone is using the G-HUB software. This software will provide a crystal-clear communication.

Overall, the sound quality of the mic is very good, there were no background noise, and obviously as I mentioned, the sound was crystal-clear to the other person.

HyperX Cloud Alpha:

The microphone is detachable which I love, some headsets do come with a fixed microphone that you would have to swivel up, when you’re not using kind of annoying but the microphone is flexible, its bendable, very easy to articulate to your position.

The quality of microphone is pretty nice but not good as Logitech G Pro X. It catches some background voice but I have to say that the voice is very clear.

SOUND PERFORMANCE

Logitech G Pro X:

You have to use the G-HUB software to enable the surround sound or headsets will be in stereo. So yes, this headset is a stereo headset. The driver of the speaker is 50 mm and the sound was fantastic.

When I was gaming with these headsets, I was not getting clear sounds of enemy foot steps. So gaming-wise, these headphones are average.

Listening to music ia also great, and if you are a music lover or listen too much music then I will recommend you to buy this headsets.

HyperX Cloud Alpha:

The biggest selling factor of marketing that HyperX is doing, it’s this dual chamber driver. Separating the bass response for the mids and highs helps create a cleaner audio experience. Overall, they’re claiming better distinction and audio and less distortion.

The Alpha provides a very balanced bass experience. In my opinion, this has a much better sound quality, when compared to Logitech G Pro X. They’re also louder in volume too. Getting into the mid-range, these are very bright and forward vocal performance stands out with sounds on your own footsteps.

WHICH ONE YOU SHOULD BUY?

If you are looking for something minimal and you can carry anywhere then I think you should go for G PRO X. But if you are looking for proper gaming headset then HyperX cloud alpha will full-fill your needs, except that microphone quality.

Although we don’t expect perfection from a $100 gaming headset, the HyperX Cloud Alpha’s sound quality comes close. Moreover, Kingston uses reasonably high-quality materials put together in a solid way. Our award is well-deserved.
