Huawei MediaPad M6

The MediaPad M6 has got unibody metal design and a metal frame all around the device which gives it a pretty nice look. However, the other thing that I notice is that there is a camera bump that sticks out a little bit. The front has got white bezels which are equal from all the sides and it has got a physical button that also acts as the fingerprint scanner.

Overall, the design of the device is nice and the build quality is also good as well. It is comfortable holding it in hand for watching movies, videos, or for some other purposes as well.

Apple iPad 10.2

There isn’t a big change in the design of the device since the launch of the last iPad. The back of the device is made of glass and aluminum with the apple logo in the middle. The front has got the same Touch ID and also the top and the bottom bezels are a little thick. However, the build quality is still very good and also feels quite comfortable and premium as well.

Overall, the design is pretty much the same and the build quality of the iPad 10.2 is also pretty good like the old iPad’s build quality.

Huawei MediaPad M6

The Huawei MediaPad M6 has got a 10.8-inch diagonal screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1600 pixels and the screen has got an aspect ratio of 16:10. The brightness is nice and it is around 400 nits which is pretty good.

The bezels are equally thick from all the sides which gives the device a little modern look. But the black bezels around the screen doesn’t look nice and I would have love to see black bezels instead of white bezels.

This screen is perfect for watching videos, movies, reading, and even good enough for scrolling through social media. The colors are vibrant, contrast is good and also color reproduction is nice as well.

Overall, the display is good enough for watching movies, videos or even reading and its also bright screen which means that you could also use this display in outdoor lightning conditions as well.

Apple iPad 10.2

Now, as the name says it is a 10.2-inch display with thick top and bottom bezels. It has got 2160 x 1620p resolution which is nice and also this is not a promotion display but still, it’s a nice display overall.

The display produces nice vibrant colors as it is an IPS panel. Also, the bezels are a little thick on the top and bottom of the device which is good as it is a little comfortable for thumbs to rest while watching movies.

However, the display isn’t laminated which means that there is an air gap between the panel and the display. Because of this, the user experience isn’t that great. If the screen was laminated then the user would feel that he/she is writing or drawing on a piece of paper. But that’s not the case here.

However, overall the display is nice and it is a nice screen for watching movies, videos or even for reading. The brightness is also nice and you can use it outdoors but I wouldn’t recommend using it in direct sunlight. Other than that it is a really nice screen.

Huawei MediaPad M6

The performance of this device is good. Day to day things like watching videos, playing games, reading, scrolling through social media or even browsing the web can be done without any issues. Also multitasking works great as well.

Even games works pretty nicely as well. Simple games like Temple Run and Subway Surfer works completely fine. Even some high-end games like PUBG or Call Of Duty works pretty good as well. However, if you play this games at 60 fps than you might notice some stutters or lags as it gets too much for the device to handle.

Overall, this is a great tablet for gaming and also good for every day use as well.

Apple iPad 10.2

The performance of the iPad 10.2 is nice as the processor is pretty powerful. I was able to do more work than just using it for simple day-to-day tasks like watching videos, browsing the web, scrolling through social media, and also I was able to do multi-tasking as well.

I was also able to edit photos and even 4K videos which is a pretty nice thing for a budget level iPad. However, video editing isn’t as good as the pro iPad but still, it’s a good thing.

Even if you are a student and want this device for just taking notes, attending online lectures, watching videos, doing some drawing, or any other things like that then this device is perfect for you.

Huawei MediaPad M6

The front and back camera on this device are not good.. However, these cameras are still preferable for scanning documents or video calling. These cameras are not worth to use for taking photos instead I would recommend to use your phone to take photos.

In terms of battery life, it has got a large battery which could last for a long time if the usage is fair. However, its battery life wouldn’t last as long as the iPad 10.2 battery life.

Apple iPad 10.2

The back camera on the iPad 10.2 is pretty good considering that it is an iPad. However, this camera is way more useful to scan documents but not for taking pictures as the phone cameras could do that. The front camera is decent but personally, I would just use it for video calling and nothing else.

The battery life of the iPad 10.2 is good according to my testing by playing PUBG continuously. It lasted for almost 6 hours with a single charge which is quite amazing as I was playing PUBG continuously. Overall, it could last up to 10 to 12 hours with just a single charge which is really good.

Which Should You Buy?

Now, if I need to buy from Huawei MediaPad M6 Vs iPad 10.2 than I would definitely go for iPad 10.2 as it has got better processor, longer software updates, nice display, good battery life, even better cameras and also good build quality of the device.

On the other hand, if my budget is low or I don’t want a device that can edit 4K videos or in other words a little less powerful device than I would definitely go for the MediaPad M6 but you also need to keep in mind that it doesn’t have Widevine Level 1 certification. This means that you couldn’t watch Netflix or Amazon Prime movies in HD but you can still watch youtube videos in HD or even 2160p which is still good enough.
