Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0

Now, even though it’s an entry-level device it has got aluminum back with plastic bars on the top and bottom. It feels very heavy as well as it has a metal body design. This device can easily behold in one hand because it’s a heavy device.

The build quality of the device is really good considering that it’s an entry-level device. Even before unwrapping the device, I was able to feel that it’s a very premium and sturdy device.

Overall, the design of the device is nice, feels comfortable holding in hand, and also the build quality is nice as well.

Lenovo Tab M10 HD

The Lenovo Tab M10 feels lightweight when holding in hand. This device is also made of a metal body. On the back of the device, I notice that there is a camera bump that pops-out like 1-mm. On the right side of the device, we get to see the power button, the volume buttons, two microphones, and a microSD card tray as well.

Now on the bottom of the device, we got to see a charging port and one speaker grill. On the left, we get to see the pogo ports. Now, on the top, we got another speaker grill and a headphone jack.

The top and bottom bezels are a little thick which gives the device a bulky look. However, these bezels will also be useful for thumb resting when watching movies or when playing games.

Overall, the design and build quality of the device is nice.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an 8.0-inch screen and has a 16:10 aspect ratio. This is an HD screen with a resolution of 1200 x 800p and also the viewing angles are great but we don’t know if it’s an IPS panel as Samsung doesn’t mention.

The color reproduction is nice, the contrast is good, and also it is bright enough to use indoors and outdoors as well but not in direct sunlight. However, that’s not a big issue at all in my opinion. The other good thing about this tablet is that it has a laminated display. This means that there is no air gap between the display and the panel.

However, Tab A 8.0 has only Widevine Level 3 certification which means that we cannot watch web series or movies on Netflix or Amazon Prime in HD.

Overall, the display is nice according to its price and I also like this display as well.

Lenovo Tab M10 HD

The Lenovo Tab M8 is also an 8-inch screen just like Tab A 8.0 and it also has an aspect ratio of 16:10. Even the screen resolution is also the same as well. But one thing is for sure that it’s an IPS display and also the viewing angles are nice as well.

The contrast and the color reproduction is fine and the brightness is good enough as well. However, I don’t know if the screen is laminated or not. Also, this device doesn’t support the Widevine Level 1 certification as well. This means that you can’t enjoy your favorite movies or web series on Netflix or Amazon Prime in HD.

Overall, the display is good enough for every day use like scrolling through social media, watching YouTube videos or listening to music.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0

Considering that it’s an entry-level device, the speakers are nice and loud, and also watching movies with these speakers is fun. However, these speakers are bottom-firing which becomes a little issue while playing games as the hands come in the way. Other than that these speakers are pretty good.

The performance for browsing the web, watching videos or listening to music is fine and better than Lenovo’s Tab M10. You can also be multitasking on this device and it is much better in comparison with Lenovo Tab M10. If you want you can open three apps at once, two in split-screen mode and the third one in floating mode.

The performance of this device is good enough for shooting games like PUBG or Call Of Duty but it doesn’t perform well with the Asphalt 9 and the graphics settings have to put at the lowest. While playing Asphalt 9, I noticed a lot of stutters which isn’t fun at all. However, games like PUBG and Call Of Duty works nice at low graphic settings.

Overall, the performance of this device is nice and I would definitely use this device to play games or even editing photos.

Lenovo Tab M10 HD

There are two speakers on the Tab M10 one on the bottom and the other on the top. The stereo speakers don’t sound distorted at maximum volume. The audio quality is nice and clear. Overall, these speakers are good for watching movies or even listening to music.

This device is good enough for almost all everyday tasks like browsing through the web, scrolling through social media, and also watching videos on YouTube works great as well. However, you might notice that the apps running in the background gets closed while switching from one app to another app. You might be able to do simple multitasking but do expect a little bit of stuttering.

The performance of the Lenovo Tab M10 in terms of gaming especially for Asphalt 9 wasn’t good at all. In fact, it was very bad as asphalt 9 keep getting crash when trying to open the game. However, while playing PUBG or Call Of Duty it was working fine but the frame rates were still choppy but playable. Overall, you can play on this device but I wouldn’t suggest using this device for gaming.

Overall, the performance of the device is good enough for daily task only but nothing more than that.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0

The back camera is pretty decent considering that it’s an entry-level device. However, the colors are a little off in the images but as I said these are decent cameras and takes pretty decent photos.

The battery life is really good as it lasted for over 7 hours while I put this device for video streaming at 100% brightness. The battery life is really good and with moderate usage, it could last for two to three or even four days. With light usage, it can last for several days on a single charge. However, the battery life of a device depends on its usage.

Lenovo Tab M10 HD

The back camera is pretty decent as the details are pretty good considering that it’s an entry-level device. The photos are nice in ideal lighting conditions but not good in dark lighting conditions. Overall, decent cameras for video calling and quick document scanning.

The Lenovo Tab M10 lasted for 8 hours with just a single charge. In this battery test, I put a video on loop at medium brightness and in my opinion, this is not a good battery life as I wasn’t using the device roughly. Overall, the battery life on this device is pretty average.

Which Should You Buy?

If I need to buy from Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 Vs Lenovo Tab M10 I definitely go with the galaxy tab A 8.0 as it is a better performing device with a better display, better battery life, and also better overall build quality. However, if the Lenovo Tab M10 suits your needs than you should definitely go for it. As it is your decision and my work is to only show you how this devices works in real life.
