5. Beautiful Light
Beautiful Light is a PvPvP tactical first-person extraction shooter game set in a hostile and horror-filled environment. Player’s form six squads of three operators each, with the objective to secure and extract an artifact.
In addition to contending with other operators and player-controlled anomalies, the game features a realistic ballistic system that simulates bullet drop, wind, and penetration.
Players can use gadgets such as drones, cameras, or traps to gain an advantage over their enemies. Beyond these aspects, the game includes a dynamic weather system that affects visibility and gameplay. A great feature is the ability to customize your operator with various skills, perks, and cosmetics.
Beautiful Light is being developed by Deep Worlds SA and is coming soon to PC via Steam.
6. Still Wakes the Deep
Recently, in the 2023 Xbox Showcase event, a horror game named Still Wakes the Deep was unveiled, set around the sea and focusing on an oil rig disaster. This game is scheduled to be released in 2024 on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
The setting of the game is an offshore oil rig in the middle of the ocean, and players take on the role of a worker fighting for their life in a dangerous storm. This game has been developed by Broken Bird Games, and according to me, whenever it is released, it will be truly next level.

The Bornless is a horror FPS action shooter game being developed by Cathedral Studios. It offers various gameplay modes, including a last man standing co-op mode, or a thrilling mode set within a horrible world.
Players can join or create factions to occupy territories and can customize their discipline with different capacities, perks, and cosmetics.

Next on the list is Paranormal Tales, which is truly an incredible horror game being developed using Unreal Engine 5. In this game, we will explore the mysterious story of missing persons through found footage, such as body cameras, phones, and VHS recordings.

10. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Hellblade 2 is basically going to be a sequel to its first part, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which was released in 2017. This game is a horror survival game, and in this game, you will get to see dark and scary visuals. In its trailer, the flames looked very real, and even the clothes seemed to flutter realistically while running; it was quite an immersive experience.
This game is heavily inspired by Norse mythology. In it, Senua, trapped in Viking Iceland, will face various ghosts and tribulations to save people. She will have to struggle a lot to cope with the darkness both within and outside.
Ninja Theory is developing this game, and it was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2023 that this game will be released in 2024.
11. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
For those who are not familiar with Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, let me tell you that it is a first-person shooter game being developed by the Ukrainian company GSC Game World. The music and SFX (sound effects) in this game are also outstanding, capturing the entire atmosphere of the game perfectly. It is set to be released in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, and if you wish, you can pre-purchase it. I would say that everyone who enjoys a first-person shooter game should definitely give this game a try at least once.
12. Post Trauma
Post Trauma is a third-person survival horror game being developed by Red Soul Games. In this game, you play as Roman, a middle-aged train conductor who finds himself trapped in a terrifying and twisted reality. The game involves exploring unknown things and solving mysteries, as well as trying to survive in a dangerous environment full of hidden threats.
The game has attempted to present a cinematic and disturbing experience by combining fixed camera angles with modern graphics. It includes manual save points and questionable puzzles, which are integral to its narrative.

if you have played the first part, you’ll likely find this one very enjoyable as well. The game is being developed by “Dual Effect” and will be published by PQube. Although there isn’t a confirmed release date yet, rumors suggest it might launch in the latter months of 2024.
14. Pine Harbor
Pine Harbor is being developed by the Vision Forge Team and is set in a fishing town in the North Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by cliffs and dense forests. However, due to a technical disaster, most of the town’s inhabitants have turned into terrifying creatures. The protagonist’s role involves exploring the town and helping the remaining people who have survived.
This game utilizes a first-person perspective, allowing players to feel closer to the environment, face dangers, and uncover secrets. The visuals of the game are powered by Unreal Engine 5, which gives the graphics a realistic and horrifying look.
In terms of gameplay, players have access to simple weapons like handguns and shotguns. Since resources are limited, players must make thoughtful decisions during combat and exploration. You’ll have the opportunity to play this game very soon because it will be released by December 14, 2023.
15. EXP: War Trauma
EXP: War Trauma is a game that realistically depicts the psychological trauma experienced by soldiers during World War II. The developers, Cortez Productions, have skillfully utilized Unreal Engine 5 to bring this concept to life.
The main character of the game is Krieger, whose story unfolds as the player progresses. The game is set in a strange apartment, where the player must use their intelligence and quick reflexes to survive. Exploring the entire apartment and solving puzzles are also key aspects of the gameplay.
While there is no final release date for the game yet, I definitely want to play it whenever it is released, especially for its graphics and unique experience.
16. Deathground
If you enjoy playing dinosaur games, then Deathground is for you. In this game, you battle AI dinosaurs for survival. It can be played solo or with a squad, and each player has the opportunity to choose their unique character class, which includes tools and traits critical for escape.
Each type of dinosaur in the game has its own special abilities. For example, Feathered Raptors use their speed, stealth, and senses to hunt you down, making teamwork essential for survival.
The dinosaurs appear so realistic that it feels like watching a Jurassic Park movie. This dynamic survival horror experience is enhanced by the use of Unreal Engine 5. As of now, the game’s developer, Jaw Drop Games studio, has not officially confirmed a release date. However, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam to get notified when it becomes available.
17. Instinction
Instinction is set to be an action-adventure horror game, with its plot situated in the Valley of the Rift on the Yucatán Peninsula, where past and present timelines collide. In this valley, dinosaurs coexist with an ancient civilization, and the local people protect the area and its creatures. Players control a character named Isabel, an ecologist who shares a strong bond with the valley.
The game can be enjoyed from both first and third-person perspectives and features a single-player mode as well as a co-op mode supporting up to three players. The game includes changing weather, diverse locations such as jungles, temples, and scientific labs. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the game’s trailer showcases realistic colors and provides a cinematic experience.

20. The Dark World: KARMA
The Dark World: Karma is a first-person, story-driven psychological horror game. It was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show by Pollard Studio and is set to be released in 2024. The game will be available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch.

21. ROUTINE
Routine is a sci-fi horror game set in an abandoned Lunar base, reflecting a futuristic vision of the 80s. It’s being developed by a UK-based indie team, Lunar Software, and will be published by Raw Fury.
This game is a first-person experience where the player must explore a moon base that has fallen under the control of robotic enemies. Players will need to evade and hide from these enemies. Created with Unreal Engine 5, this game boasts impressive visuals. Its trailer was particularly outstanding, showcasing impressive guns and powers. It’s being developed by an Australian indie game studio, Weforge, but there has been no update from them regarding the game’s release date.
23. Pneumata
Pneumata is a game set in a dark sewer environment, offering a chilling horror experience. It’s a first-person perspective game, where the main character, a detective, unravels hidden truths and regains lost memories. In the process, the character faces horrific creatures with terrifying faces. The game combines psychological tension with survival horror elements.
The decision-making aspect of the game intensifies the tension, forcing players to contemplate whether to fight or flee. The dark visuals, raspy voices, and unusual sounds contribute to an intensely chilling atmosphere.

24. WRONGED US

25. Level Zero
Level Zero is an asymmetric survival horror PvP game that transports players to a location under attack by creatures. Players are divided into two teams: one team of four scientists must repair electrical systems to survive, while the other team of two players controls telepathic creatures hunting the scientists.
