How to Remove the Search Button from iOS 16

The new features and aesthetic updates in iOS 16 are impressive. Some changes are hidden, while others are noticeable, such as the New Lock Screen and the New “Search” Button on the Home Screen, which attract the attention of many users.

For many users, the Spotlight search on the Mac, iPhone, and iPad is one of the best features. Apple also seems to want to focus on the function more.

Previously, you had to Swipe down on Home Screen to Search. And now, there is also a “Search Button” on Home Screen, located above the Dock. And I loved this feature, but if you think it is unaesthetic or superfluous, you can remove it by the following method.

  1. Open iPhone Settings App
  2. Scroll Down and Tap ‘Home Screen’
  3. Turn Off “Show on Home Screen”
